Jarrod Cotton Departs Norwood

Norwood has parted ways with League coach Jarrod Cotton after four years in charge at The Parade.

Despite a strong recruiting campaign last summer, the Redlegs missed playing in the major round this season after finishing fifth with a 6-8 win-loss record.

Taking the reins at the start of 2017, Cotton steered Norwood into the major round in his first three seasons in charge.

His most successful campaign came in 2018 when the Redlegs claimed the minor premiership only to be upset by North Adelaide in the Grand Final.

Cotton finishes his tenure at Woods Street with a 43-29-1 win-loss-draw record.

“Jarrod has been an outstanding person for our football club over the last four seasons,” Norwood President Paul Di Iulio said.

“There is no question he gave his heart and soul to the club. His care and commitment to Norwood is a testament to his qualities not only as a coach but as a person.

“We wish Jarrod and his family all the very best and thank him for his service to the Norwood Football Club.”
