South Adelaide bolstered its ruck division when it enticed Soriah Moon up the Southern Expressway from Glenelg. A talented district basketballer with Sturt, Moon had impressive debut season with the Bays last year but has decided to join her Flagstaff Hill coach Andrew Brockhurst, who is now in charge at South.

A member of the Statewide Super SA U19 squad, Tahlita Buethke has impressed in South’s two trial matches against the Eagles and Sturt. Adept at playing as an outside midfielder or on the wing, the 18-year-old has very clean skills by hand while also displaying a natural running ability.

Gypsy Schirmer – Used chiefly as a key-position player, Schirmer has been trialled on the wing such is her aerobic prowess. One of two SA players in the AFLW Academy has a very neat kick and is strong in the air.

Sarah Wright – Returning from an ACL injury last year, Wright is set to show her versatility as a key defender in 2021. Strong competitor defensively.

Tahlita Buethke – Developing rapidly as a skillful wing with her exceptional skills and powerful running capacity.

Lauren Clifton – Yet another running machine at Noarlunga who kicks it well and makes sound decisions with the ball in hand.
