Glenelg stretched its U18 Torrens University Cup winning streak to five with a comfortable 38-point win against North Adelaide at ACH Group Stadium.

The undefeated Tigers used a direct style of play by foot to keep the Roosters at bay, registering 41 more kicks for the contest.

Bays forward Corey Brougham was one of several to benefit as he booted four goals and took six marks while Lewis Rayson found plenty of the ball for the hosts with 31 possessions, 11 marks and a goal.

North’s Hugh Jackson and James Willis each registered 26 disposals while Toby Turner booted three goals from his seven kicks.

A second-quarter surge propelled Woodville-West Torrens to a well-earned 37-point win against Sturt at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval.

Trailing by three points at the first change, the Eagles booted 6.6 to the Double Blues’ 1.0 to establish a match-winning 33-point lead at half-time.

Port Adelaide father-son prospect Jase Burgoyne impressed with 28 disposals and a goal while team-mates Brock Thomson (33 disposals) and Ben Schwartz (four goals) were also influential.

Tireless Sturt midfielder Brad Jefferies racked up 37 disposals, eight clearances and 12 marks while strong forward Felix Packer had 16 disposals with his three goals.

A late-goal to Central District’s Isaiah Dudley wasn’t enough for the visitors as West Adelaide hung on for a one-point win at Hisense Stadium.

The Bulldogs ran the ball from half-back in the last minute of the game before Dudley snapped truly on the final siren, leaving the Bloods in front by the barest of margins.

West’s prolific pairing of Cade Kennedy (30 disposals) and Charlie Pridham (29 disposals) had an influence while Luke Young kicked three goals.

Central’s tall forward Cody Gilchrist bagged a haul of 5.1 to go with his 19 disposals and eight marks while Ruben Carreno had 25 possessions.

South Adelaide overcame a goalless first quarter to account for Norwood by 56-point at Flinders University Stadium.

Slamming on 8.4 while keeping the Redlegs’ scoreless in the second term, the Panthers had plenty of contributors on the scoreboard with Matt Roberts, Koby Cockshell and Tom Schirmer booting three goals each.

Highly-rated AFL Draft prospect Roberts also registered 34 disposals, nine tackles and eight clearances to be the Round 5 Torrens University Cup MVP.

Norwood’s Matthew Dnistriansky (25 disposals) and Taj Rahui (21 disposals and a goal) battled hard against the tide.
