2022 SA Community Football Media Awards

SANFL is pleased to advise that nominations are now open for the 2022 SA Community Football Media Awards.

Nominations are open until 12pm on Friday, September 9, 2022. Winners will be notified by SANFL and announced on SANFL’s social media channels.

The Award winners will be invited to attend the SANFL Community Football Volunteer Awards Dinner at Adelaide Oval on October 14.

In 2022, two Community Football Awards will be presented:

 Best Community Football Coverage (open to individuals and organisations)

1. To be eligible for this award, you must submit three “pieces” of your work that have been published or broadcast within the prescribed timefram
2. The submissions can be print, digital, radio or TV but must be the original work of

the entrant.
3.   All submissions must directly relate to either a South Australian country/amateur

football league or club, or a subject closely linked to regional football and the

Community Football Board.

Entries will be judged on insight into football, depth of discussion/feature writing, quality of analysis and impact.

Best Community Football Photography (open to individuals only)

1. To be eligible for this award, you must submit three separate examples of your work that have been published in either a newspaper or online.
2. The submissions can be either action or character photographs (or a mix)
3. All submissions must directly relate to either a South Australian country/amateur football league or club or a subject closely linked to regional footy or Community Football.

Entrants will be judged on ability to capture highlights, emotion and great moments in Community Football.

Please attach your three high-resolution entries to an email titled ‘Best Community Football Photographic Coverage’ and send to Alistair.Salt@sanfl.frmdv.com

In the email, please provide short captions for each image.

**Nominations for both categories must have been published or broadcast for a recognised news organisation between September, 2021 until August 30, 2022.

All entries must include your name, contact number and media organisation. A brief written summary about your entry (no longer than 200 words) is permitted.
