Five goals in a 10-minute purple patch propelled South Adelaide to a 13-point Torrens University SANFL U18 win against Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Managing just one goal in the first quarter, the Panthers pounced early in the third quarter as high-flying forward Jack Delean earned the lead with the second of his three majors in the fourth minute.

By the midway mark of the premiership period, the visitors had skipped out to a 26-point advantage on the back of Delean’s third.

South midfielder Phoenix Hargrave was a key influence in an even team effort, collecting 22 disposals and eight clearances while Lachlan Hamilton and Tom Wheaton also drew praise from coach Mark Clayton.

Eagles Josh Capogreco (15 disposals), Jake Andrews and Archer Charles, who kicked the final goal of the game, were high on the hosts’ best player list.

A six-goal masterclass from Sturt excitement machine Jasper Maher catapulted his side to a 62-point win against Norwood at Wigan Oval.

With his team leading comfortably at every change, Maher piled on the scoreboard pressure with his six majors coming from seven scoring shots while also pulling down an eye-catching grab in the first quarter.

Smooth-moving midfielder Loch Rawlinson (27 disposals, two goals) and Kobee Dabinett (21 disposals, nine clearances) were other major factors in the Double Blues’ rout.

Norwood’s Jaidyn Mead, Jacob Jones (19 disposals) and Cody Duncan fought hard to stem the tide for the visitors.

A fast start proved pivotal in Glenelg’s 12-point victory against West Adelaide at Stratarama Stadium.

Booting two goals inside the opening three minutes, the Bays added a second to livewire forward Ashton Moir to open up a 20-point lead at the first change.

Having held the Bloods scoreless in the first term, Glenelg held on after having a heavy handball-to-kick ratio of 144 handballs to 175 kicks.

The hosts had Conor Gluyas (22 disposals, one goals), Jack Walters and Zac Earl (16 disposals, two goals) make strong contributions.

A persistent West was well-served by highly-rated Will Patton (21 dispsoals), Padrick O’Donoghue and Judd Hansen, who booted three goals.

North Adelaide put Central District out of the picture early in the contest to hold on for a seven-point win at X Convenience Oval.

Kicking the first five goals – three via Kalan Caputo – of the match, the Roosters established a match-defining 27-point advantage at the first change.

North ball magnets Angus Tully (31 possessions, eight clearances) and Kane McAuliffe (28 disposals, seven clearances) stood tall throughout the contest while Tom Tasker (18 disposals) also made his presence felt.

Central forward Liam Fawcett closed the gap to seven points with his third goal in the 21st minute of the last term but that would be the final score of the game.

Fawcett, Noah McDonald (18 disposals) and Mitchell McDonald (28 disposals) fought hard for the hosts until the final siren.
