Joshua Abbott
Originally commencing his umpiring with the Sturt Umpiring panel before progressing to SANFL in 2013, Joshua moved to Adelaide Football League where he umpired senior men’s footy for a number of years.
Joshua has established himself within the SANFLW squad since 2018, umpiring a total of 42 SANFLW games, including six finals and the Grand Finals of 2022 & 2023.
His training shows a full commitment to the SANFLW competition with an ability to act on match day feedback to improve areas of his umpiring.
He has a really strong understanding of the game and applies the laws consistently, with strong judgement and in a super-composed manner.
Silver Whistle – Boundary Umpire
Tristan Rogers
Commenced umpiring in SANFL Under age competitions more than a decade ago, Tristan has plied his trade very successfully in the Division 1 ranks of the Adelaide Footy League.
This year, he made a commitment to the SANFLW season which resulted in him umpiring 10 minor round games and two finals, including the Grand Final.
He showed on the field that he is a quality umpire with a great deal of knowledge & talent for boundary umpire. He has quietly mentored the younger umpires in games, always encouraging them in their efforts.
Displaying great quality, talent and knowledge, Tristan has enjoyed an outstanding 2023 campaign.
Golden Flags – Goal Umpire
Leo Condo
Leo commenced umpiring in 2022 with a locally-based Adelaide Footy League club.
On his first night of SANFL training midway through last year, it was evident he boasted talent waiting to be fostered.
Leo displayed this talent as he progressed quickly from U16 to U18 level.
He has a terrific attitude, is somewhat reserved in his manner, with these characteristics being important from an umpiring perspective.
This season has seen him umpire two games on most weekends, at U16, U18, Reserves & SANFLW level, culminating in umpiring the SANFLW Grand Final.
