Key Match Up
Luke Partington v Jack Trengove
There will be plenty of quality rolling through the midfield at ACH Group Stadium on Sunday and this battle heads the list. Port’s Trengove has been the best player in the competition to this point, leading the way in the Shearman Medal and Digital Pass Player of the Year voting while averaging 37 disposals per game. Chalked up 38 disposals, nine tackles and 10 clearances against the Crows last round to suggest the Tigers may need to curb his influence. Partington, who was restricted by a minor hamstring complaint earlier in the season, is now hitting his peak after racking up a season-high 35 possessions and a goal in the Bays’ win against Central. Expect the former West Coast Eagle to thrive on the challenge of standing someone of Trengove’s experience and ability.

X Factors
Luke Reynolds (Glenelg)
Fronts up against his former club after kicking a game-high six majors in his first return to Alberton in Round 15 last year. Whenever Reynolds hits the scoreboard, Glenelg seems to win. The classy left-footer has been working in nicely with fellow marking targets Liam McBean and Lachlan Hosie while also still pushing further up the ground when required. Port coach Matt Lokan will know all too well about Reynolds’ ability to have a significant influence.

Tobin Cox (Port)
The former Tiger will face his former team for the first time, carrying in some eye-catching form which would have pleased Port officials to date. Has pace, can jump and is elusive around the goals which provides him with a recipe to success inside 50m. Has kicked 14 goals for the season, including a team-high five in the SANFL Showdown as he almost singlehandedly kept the Magpies in the contest. Originally from Padthaway in the south-east, Cox will be keen to perform against his old team-mates at Brighton Road.
