SANFL advises that a Tribunal will sit at Adelaide Oval next Tuesday, June 18 (time still to be confirmed) to hear a charge against Limestone Coast Women’s Football League player Casey McElroy.
The charge alleges that McElroy breached regulations and policies, by playing in a Men’s Reserves Grade match in the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Football League (KNTFL) on Saturday, May 25.
McElroy, who had the opportunity to accept a six match suspension, has elected to be heard before the independent Tribunal.
The Tribunal will determine the charge and sanction based on the evidence presented at the hearing and will not be bound by the set penalty offered.
The charge followed an investigation into the incident by SANFL’s integrity officer.
