Star Signing - Ellie Poke

Norwood’s Tasmanian connection will strengthen through the signing of Wynyard’s Ellie Poke.

A neat distributor by foot off half-back, the 18-year-old is considered to be an excellent decision-maker.

Following friend and fellow Tasmanian Candice Belbin to The Parade, Poke also boasts impressive leg speed which the Redlegs will look to use to advantage rebounding from defence.

Powerade Breakthrough Player Candidate - Charli Hazelhurst

Norwood coach Brad Ferrall is very bullish about the talent boasted by Charli Hazelhurst.

Also a gifted netballer, Hazelhurst is expected to be coveted by AFLW clubs when she is eligible for selection later this year, having won the club’s Rising Star award in 2024.

Ferrall will be tempted to use the 175cm Hazelhurst through the midfield but is expected to mostly let her settle into a key position post in defence this year.
