Former Power defender Logan Austin will provide plenty of experience in defence for the Bloods.

Star Signing - Harvey Griffiths

It shouldn’t be long until Harvey Griffiths earns cult status amongst West Adelaide fans.

The strongly-built 23-year-old is ready to make his mark in the Hostplus SANFL League after his breakout season with North Launceston in 2024.

Not only was he a key figure in the Bombers’ undefeated TSL premiership, he represented Tasmania at State level whilst also being selected in the forward pocket of the TSL Team of the Year.

Standing at 180cm, Griffiths boasts plenty of X-factor which he used to his advantage in booting 55 goals en route to earning the 2024 Peter Hudson Medal as the TSL’s Leading Goal Kicker.

Off the field, Griffiths has settled into Adelaide life nicely with his partner, embarking on his first job in the field of accounting.

Powerade Breakthrough Player Candidate - Sam Burbridge

West Adelaide’s midfield is building nicely and it is poised to have another nice addition in 2025.

Already boasting Kobe Ryan, Sam Frost and Brady Searle, the Bloods’ centre square combination could also include Sam Burbridge as he embarks on his senior career.

Graduating from the Bloods’ U18s, Burbridge lined up in six Reserves matches last year, averaging 16 disposals, whilst also averaging 24 disposals, six clearances and seven tackles in the U18s.

Measuring in at a sizeable 186cm, the Flagstaff Hill product is physically ready to mix it with men, providing Westies fans with an exciting glimpse into the future.

U18 graduate Sam Burbridge is one to watch in 2025 as he begins his senior career with the Bloods.

2025 U18 State Talent Academy Member

SA U18 coach Tony Bamford profiles Mitch Marsh

Mitch has just completed one of the best pre season training blocks we have seen for a while at State Academy level. He won all 3 of our 2km time trials with a time considered elite across the national talent pathway. He also regularly led the way in our conditioning sets and full oval ball movement drills while also building size and strength in the gym. Mitch has played predominately as a mobile tall forward at West Adelaide in U16s and U18s last year. He has worked really hard on improving his body contest craft so he can have an improved impact as a forward in stationary marking contests to complement what he can do on the move as a marking target.
