The South Australian Football Commission has announced the appointment of The Hon. Rob Kerin as the Commission’s new chair.
Mr Kerin was appointed today by the elected members of the Commission at a special meeting ahead of tonight’s SANFL Annual General Meeting.
He replaces former Chair of the Commission The Hon. John Olsen AO who did not seek a further three-year term.
Current Deputy Chairman Philip Gallagher will remain in that position.
Mr Kerin, elected last week onto the Commission for a three-year term, is a former Premier of South Australia, SANFL Community Football League Director and member and chair of numerous boards.
He said he felt honoured to be appointed to the role of Chair.
“I’m extremely passionate about football at all levels of the game and look forward to being involved during an exciting time for the evolving football landscape in South Australia,” he said.
