Umpiring fees, fixed at the start of each season, are disbursed to the umpire's nominated bank account via OHQ on a fortnightly basis.

The Laws of Australian Football provide clarification on the intricacies of an Australian Football match, with the goal of achieving the following objectives:

(a) ensuring fair play and fostering a spirit of true sportsmanship, and
(b) mitigating injuries to players participating in a match to the extent reasonably attainable, recognising that Australian Football is a body contact sport.
