2022 Hostplus SANFL League Finals schedule locked in

SANFL has today announced the schedule of finals footy action, headlined by the 2022 Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final commencing at 3pm on Sunday, September 18.

All matches across the four-week Finals Series will be played at Adelaide Oval and broadcast on Channel 7, 1629 SEN SA and live streamed on SANFL Now.

The Finals Series kicks off on Sunday, August 28 with the Elimination and Qualifying Finals double header.

SANFL General Manager Football Matt Duldig said the scene was set for an enticing 2022 Finals Series because of the evenness of the competition and a minor premiership still up for grabs with only one round remaining.

“With all spots in final five still undecided going into the final round it sets the scene as we head towards what shapes as one of the tightest finals series in years,” Duldig said.

“There’s a real air of excitement around this year’s finals with the Sunday afternoon timeslot locked in for all finals we would expect some great crowds to come out and experience some great local footy.”

“The Grand Final is locked in for Sunday, September 18 at 3pm and we are expecting a big crowd which will be the first in three years without any restrictions. There are several plans in place that will add to the festive atmosphere and a make it a great finale to what’s been a top season.

“With all finals matches broadcast on Channel 7, the Finals Series is a fantastic opportunity to showcase SANFL footy at its best.”

In a first for SANFL Talent, SANFL has confirmed the U16 and U18 Torrens University Cup Grand Finals will be played as a double header at Adelaide Oval on Friday, September 16 as a showcase for its elite talent competitions.

Tickets for all Hostplus SANFL League Finals matches, including the Grand Final, are on sale now via Ticketek. Tickets also will be available for sale on match day at the gate.
