South Australia will have 12 players put through their paces at this year’s AFL Combine in October.
Headlined by U18 All-Australians Will Gould, Harry Schoenberg, Dylan Stephens and Jackson Mead, the Croweaters’ contingent will be tested in front of AFL scouts from Tuesday October 1 to Friday October 4.
Schoenberg and Mead will be joined by fellow Eagles Kysaiah Pickett and Josh Morris to ensure Woodville-West Torrens will have four players in attendance, the most of all eight SANFL member clubs.
Highly-rated Norwood pair Dylan Stephens and Cameron Taheny – who are both playing in the Statewide Super League – will also be present, together with North Adelaide’s twin towers of Karl Finlay and Dyson Hilder.
Players have their physical measurements recorded while also having their athletic traits – such as speed, aerobic capacity, jump and agility – tested.
Skills-based kicking drills are also conducted, together with a 2km time-trial which is usually reserved for the last day of the four-day camp.
