SANFL’s superstars will now be in the mix for a third prestigious individual trophy with the introduction of the Digital Pass Player of the Year Award.
Together with the Magarey Medal (voted by umpires) and the SANFL Budget’s R.O Shearman Medal (voted by coaches), the Digital Pass Player of the Year Award will go to the best performed Statewide Super League player in the eyes of the Digital Pass commentators.
Voting will take place weekly on a 3-2-1 basis, with the overall leader at the end of the minor round receiving $2000 courtesy of SANFL.
Stay tuned to the weekly SANFL Footy Fix for each round’s votes and leaderboard updates, with South Adelaide’s dual Magarey Medallist Joel Cross already off to an ominous start in earning a best-on-ground rating in Round 1 for his 35 disposals and three goals against Central District.
