Jarman the Jewel in Returning Roosters

North Adelaide has rolled out the welcome mat for four returning Roosters, headlined by talented forward Ben Jarman who will make Prospect his home again in 2019.

The son of North premiership great Darren Jarman has accepted an offer to wear his Dad’s treasured No.8 guernsey as he embarks on his first senior season at Menzies Crescent.

After spending the past two years as a father-son selection on the Crows’ rookie list, Ben Jarman is set to use his silky skills through the midfield and attack for the reigning premier.

The 20-year-old will be joined by midfielders Campbell Combe and Henry Trenorden as well as defender Jake Keller in making a comeback in the red-and-white next season.

Combe, 23, played 12 League games for North as a teenager in 2014 before choosing to play for his local club Crystal Brook.

A member of the South Australian State Country team in 2015 and 2016, Combe has also won three Mail Medals in the Northern Areas Football Association.

Keller, 27, last donned the white V in the 2013 SANFL League Grand Final, since playing with NEAFL club Southport in 2014 and Booleroo Melrose Wilmington for the past four seasons.

Trenorden, 24, has logged three seasons with St Peter’s Old Collegians since playing with the Roosters at Under-18 level in 2013.

Jarman first tasted action with North in 2014 when he lined up with the Under-16s and Under-18s, which culminated in him landing at West Lakes at the end of 2016 where he didn’t miss a game at SANFL league level in the past two years.

With the No.8 jumper vacated by St Kilda-bound Robbie Young, Jarman will look to continue the legacy built by his father, who played 144 games and kicked 237 goals for North between 1985 and 1990.
