Mighty Mitch chalks up 150

There is very little Mitch Clisby hasn’t experienced in reaching his 150th Statewide Super League game for North Adelaide.

The Broken Hill boy first played at Prospect in 2006 as a 16-year-old and is set to spend half of his life with the Roosters when he turns 32 next January.

In between, the reliable running utility has captained the club, experienced the pain of claiming a wooden spoon and being part of one of the greatest premiership wins in 2018.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Clisby also speaks fondly of his two seasons on Melbourne’s AFL list as well as living out his childhood dream of playing for Essendon as a replacement player during the Bombers’ supplements saga.

The Year 6 primary school teacher is relishing life as a father to one-year-old identical twins Isla and Billie, as he looks forward to spending more time with them and wife Sarah, once his footy career comes to a close.

But first, the man who currently wears North’s treasured No.10 guernsey is looking to play his part in earning a win against Sturt at Unley on Saturday so his side can start its finals campaign from the Qualifying Final.
