The Redlegs are delighted to welcome back 2017 premiership player Nicola Burns after extending herself in the VFLW playing for Carlton and Hawthorn. The 27-year-old defender will provide vital experience for the young Norwood group, in the absence of retirees Bek McMahon, Kate Fenton and St Kilda signing Leah Cutting.
The SA U18 Academy member has been quick to impress at The Parade since rising through the junior ranks while also playing basketball for the Norwood Flames. The tall utility has since quit playing on the hardwood as she concentrates on developing from a promising midfielder into a potential ruck during 2022.
