North Adelaide unveiled another promising father-son player in its 26-point U16 Torrens University Cup win against Woodville-West Torrens at Prospect Oval.

Tom Tasker, the son of former Rooster Sean Tasker, impressed with a team-high 26 disposals, seven marks and four clearances as he aims to eventually follow older brother Will into North’s senior squad.

Rooster Blake Oudshorn-Bennier also had a strong influence on the result by kicking three goals from his 24 disposals as North crucially held the Eagles goalless in the third quarter.

The visitors were well served by Kade Herbert with 27 disposals, four tackles and four clearances while Dominic Parisi registered 23 for the Eagles.

Sturt showed off its potency after storming to a 93-point win against West Adelaide at Wigan Oval.

With 10 players registering their name on the goal scoring list, the Double Blues were irresistible from the first bounce as they kicked 5.7 to the Bloods’ solitary behind in the opening quarter.

Key forward Sam Waltham led the way for Sturt with a bag of five goals while nippy goalsneak Wil Thomas kicked four to add to his 20 disposals and eight marks.

Blues midfielder Ned Atkinson – the son of Magarey Medallist Brodie Atkinson – earned an equal game-high 25 disposals as West’s Patrick Amber (18 disposals) and Angus Liebich (17 disposals) tried hard for the visitors.

Glenelg found its goal kicking radar in the final term to eclipse Norwood by 76 points at The Parade.

Suffering from inaccuracy in the first three terms to finish with 8.16 at three-quarter time, the Bays slammed on 8.1 to the Legs’ 1.1 in the final term to gain valuable percentage.

James Dutton (22 disposals and four goals) and Charlie McAuliffe – 24 disposals, nine marks and two goals – performed strongly for the Tigers while Ben Camporeale (24 possessions) and twin brother Lucas Camporeale (22 possessions and a goal) were also influential.

Norwood’s Jacob Newton was resolute in racking up 30 disposals, seven marks and a goal while teammate Noah Daw registered 26 disposals and 12 marks.

South Adelaide made the most of a huge inside 50 advantage to defeat Central District by 40 points at X Convenience Oval.

Registering 59 inside 50s to the Bulldogs’ 22, the Panthers’ also benefited from a significant clearance ascendancy of 40 to 19 while leading at every change.

Panthers Sid Draper (33 disposals, two goals) and Phoenix Hargrave (32 disposals, two goals) posted monster performances in the victory while Jacob Sheean nailed three goals from his six kicks.

Central’s Brodie Willis (23 disposals) and Beau Ryan (22 disposals) battled hard but were unable to stem South’s momentum.
