An outstanding display from North Adelaide captain Blayne O’Loughlin played a major role in his team defeating South Adelaide by 15 points in Round 2 of the U18 Torrens University Cup at Flinders University Stadium.

A member of SANFL’s State Talent Hub earlier this year, O’Loughlin racked up 44 disposals and nine marks as the Roosters took control by booting 6.3 to the Panthers’ 2.3 in the third quarter.

North’s Hugh Jackson (33 disposals and 10 tackles), Harvey Harrison and Zyton Santillo (31 disposals each) were also influential while Thomas Cusack kicked four goals from five marks.

South’s Angus Bradley worked hard for 31 possessions, seven marks and three clearances in his team’s loss.

A strong defensive effort in the second half ensured Glenelg would earn a hard-fought 26-point win against Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Trailing by four points at half-time, the Tigers restricted the Eagles to just 1.6 in the second half while piling on 6.6 to take control of the contest.

Lewis Rayson (29 disposals), Archie Lovelock (25 disposals) and Harrison Kaesler (22 disposals) found plenty of the ball for the Bays while Jack Harding booted three goals.

The Eagles had Port Adelaide father-son prospect Jase Burgoyne lead the way with 23 disposals while Will Pearce was the host’s only multiple goal scorer with two.

Norwood’s sheer weight of possession proved too much for Sturt to overcome as the Redlegs secured a 32-point win at Coopers Stadium.

The Legs racked up a massive 380 disposals to the Double Blues’ 256 while also snaring 38 more marks and having 28 scoring shots to 16.

Norwood’s Matthew Dnistriansky (29 disposals), Alastair Lord (28 disposals) and Connor Kent (27 disposals) were the ball magnets while Jack Ianniello was the only multiple goal scorer on the ground with three.

Sturt midfielders Nick Sadler, Jake Aish and Jamie Taylor all battled valiantly to register 20 disposals and a goal each.

West Adelaide recorded a comfortable 68-point victory against Central District at X Convenience Oval.

Leading comfortably at each change, the Bloods gained valuable percentage in piling on 6.7 to the Dogs’ 0.2 in a rampant final term blitz.

Kobe Ryan (33 disposals, eight tackles and eight clearances) and Cade Kennedy (30 disposals and six tackles) kept the statisticians busy while Jaeden Watts kicked three goals.

Central’s better performers included Ruben Carreno with 31 disposals while exciting forward Isaiah Dudley finished with 23 disposals, six tackles, six clearances and two majors.
