A monster midfield performance from Sturt’s Ned Atkinson was the catalyst in his team’s 33-point win against Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Atkinson, the son of Magarey Medallist Brodie Atkinson, displayed his impressive potential with 30 disposals, three goals, 10 marks and six clearances as the Double Blues led at every change.

Teammates Harley Barker (21 disposals) and Micah Lee (25 disposals, seven clearances) were also influential as Sturt edged its way into the top four.

Eagle Lachlan Lucas led the way for his team with 21 disposals and a goal while Tom Luck (18 disposals, one goal) and Tate Delmenico (18 disposals) provided valuable support.

Two goals in time-on sealed an exciting 14-point win for South Adelaide against West Adelaide at Hisense Stadium.

Leading by just two points when West’s Noah Baker kicked truly in the 20th minute of the fourth term, the Panthers managed to kick the next two majors – through Dakota Sterzl and Oliver Goss – to secure the premiership points.

South’s prime movers in Phoenix Hargrave (27 disposals, one goal, 11 tackles) and Cohen Shortridge (23 disposals, two goals) were prominent in the club’s seventh win for the season.

On the back foot after kicking six behinds in the first quarter, West Ayden Hodgson (27 disposals) and Connor Johns (18 disposals) mounted a challenge to get their team back into the game.

Glenelg overcame a tardy start to secure a hard-fought 14-point win against Central District at ACH Group Stadium.

Managing to draw level at the final change after trailing for much of the first three terms, the Bays powered away in the fourth quarter by booting 3.4 to the Bulldogs’ 1.2.

Mackye Baron (20 disposals), Ben Campoerale (23 disposals, 13 marks) and Brock Summerhayes were selected as the hosts’ best performers.

Consistent Bulldogs midfielder Dyson Sharp continued his fine season with 26 disposals and eight marks while Ryan Lane-Ellis (20 disposals, one goal) and Riley McDonald (28 disposals, 11 tackles) contributed strongly.

North Adelaide maintained its hold on top spot with a commanding 70-point win against Norwood at Prospect Oval.

More than doubling the Redlegs’ inside 50m count, the Roosters’ control of the ball was also indicated by them taking 81 marks to 35.

Hard-working Evan Bradley (31 disposals, eight tackles, eight clearances, one goal) was brilliant for the hosts while Blake Oudshorn-Bennier (34 disposals, one goal) and Noah Algate (23 disposals, one goal) also played well.

Norwood’s Anthony Mustaca (27 disposals, one goal) and Oz Richardson (26 disposals) collected plenty of touches but it was no avail as their side fell to its eighth loss of the season.
