SANFL is hitting the road again to unearth the best female teenage Indigenous and Multicultural talent across South Australia.
After scouring the state in March for talented boys, this time the girls have their opportunity to push their claims for selection to attend an SA-based High Performance Camp in October.
Trials, led by SANFL State Talent Manager Brenton Phillips, have begun on the Eyre Peninsula this week in Ceduna and Port Lincoln, with more to follow in Whyalla, Port Augusta, Bordertown and the Riverland during August.
A metropolitan trial session, held on September 21, will complete the talent screening process with a squad of 25 Indigenous and 15 Multicultural girls to be involved in the SA Camp.
From there, two Indigenous and three Multicultural players will be selected to join others from around Australia in forming the Woomeras and Medleys teams (pictured above) at an AFL High Performance and Leadership program in Melbourne.
