Woodville-West Torrens rebounded from its Round 2 loss with a comprehensive 83-point win against Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Boosted by the presence of former Crow Tyson Stengle, the Eagles were superb from the first bounce as they took control of the contest to lead by 38 points at half-time.

Stengle was constructive with his 21 disposals while also kicking four goals but Jack Hayes was outstanding in the ruck and around the ground to collect 33 disposals, 10 marks, six tackles and five clearances.

Another ex-Crow in Riley Knight had 34 disposals and two majors while Jimmy Toumpas and James Tsitas had 27 touches each.

Adelaide veterans Matthew Wright and Daniel Jackson tallied 21 disposals each, with the skipper Wright also scoring two goals while Tariek Newchurch showed plenty of promise with three majors and 16 possessions.

Glenelg strung together its third win in succession by defeating Central District by 34 points at X Convenience Oval.

Despite being plagued by inaccuracy in front of goal as they were last round, the Tigers made their move with four goals in the second term to establish a 28-point break at the main change.

Magarey Medallist Luke Partington continued his excellent form with 26 disposals and seven tackles while Darcy Bailey made the most of his midfield time to finish with 23 possessions and four clearances.

Lachie Hosie booted 3.3 for the visitors while Luke Reynolds booted two in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs’ radar was also off inside 50, having 1.6 at the main change before finishing with 5.12, the lack of scoreboard pressure proving decisive.

Harry Grant had 25 disposals and four clearances while Travis Schiller and Kyle Presbury also broke through the 20-disposal barrier.

Central’s Justin Hoskin and Ethan East kicked two goals each.

South Adelaide remains unbeaten after three rounds having held off Port Adelaide by just nine points at Flinders University Stadium.

Trailing by four points at the final change, the Panthers kicked four goals to the Magpies’ two in the fourth quarter to claim the valuable premiership points.

Port’s Ethan Moore gave his side the lead with his second goal 13 minutes into the final term but successive majors to Anthony Biemans and Bryce Gibbs provided the hosts with enough space to hold on for victory.

Gibbs finished with 25 possessions and 11 marks while former Power defender Matt Broadbent had a team high 28 disposals and eight marks for the Panthers.

Port’s Tom Rockliff returned to form with a massive 41 disposals, six tackles and seven clearances while captain Cam Sutcliffe finished with 29 disposals and three goals.

Sturt cost itself valuable percentage despite accounting for West Adelaide by 50 points at Unley Oval.

The Double Blues missed several simple chances in front of goal to tally 12.21 in the comfortable victory against the winless Bloods.

Twin towers in attack, Josh Patullo and Daniel Fahey-Sparks, booted five goals between them while former captain Zane Kirkwood kicked two for the hosts.

Captain James Battersby had 33 disposals and eight clearances while Casey Voss continued his development nicely with 32 possessions, 11 marks and a goal.

Bloods star Kaine Stevens made a welcome return from injury to collect 25 disposals, five clearances and a goal while former Norwood backman Pat Levicki had 21 possessions and five clearances.
