They have both been linked to the Crows but North Adelaide’s Isaac Keeler and Norwood’s Max Michalanney appear to be headed in different directions.
Both guests on Episode 3 of South Aussie Select, Keeler (Next Generation Academy) and Michalanney (Father-Son) have had different messages from West Lakes in the past month.
Michalanney, the son of Norwood premiership great Jim Michlanney, has been officially nominated as a father-son selection while Adelaide has opted not to nominate Keeler as a Next Generation Academy pick.
At first, this was difficult for Keeler to come to terms with but he has since taken a positive slant on the decision, hopeful it is a sign he will be selected in the opening 40 selections of the 2022 AFL Draft, hence falling out of reach of the Crows.
The high-flying North forward also chats about modelling himself on Paddy Ryder and Luke Jackson while showing off his quirky tattoo from Spongebob Squarepants.
Michalanney tells of his quiet excitement upon learning his chances of joining the Crows have increased, having recently dealt with the disappointment of being squeezed out of Norwood’s League premiership team after playing in the Qualifying and Preliminary Finals.
