Nine talented South Australians have been selected in the 2022 NAB AFL and AFLW Academies.
Five boys and four girls have been chosen to be a part of the AFL’s elite group, which will conduct its induction ceremony in January.
Players will have the opportunity to experience an elite environment by training at SA’s AFL and AFLW clubs while also participating in a high performance training camp in April.
The NAB AFL Academy will play a representative match in May while the NAB AFLW Academy will line up in a game during June.
Woodville-West Torrens midfielder Adam D’Aloia, West Adelaide forward Harry Lemmey and Norwood defender Max Michalanney are the likely 2022 AFL Draft prospects from SA to be selected.
South Adelaide’s Jack Delean and Bloods teenager Will Patton have also been added to this year’s crop as underage selections.
North Adelaide’s skillful forward Hannah Ewings and West defender Keeley Kustermann headline the Croweaters chosen in the NAB AFLW squad while Eagle Shineah Goody and 2021 SANFLW Best-and-Fairest Lauren Young, undergoing a knee reconstruction, have been listed as underage inclusions.
