West Adelaide coach Gavin Colville has begun the upward curve at Richmond and now he’s hungry for more in 2019.
Eight wins and a seventh placing was a very solid return for the first-year mentor in 2018 but finals are on the agenda for this year’s Statewide Super League campaign.
Speaking on SANFL TV, Colville expresses his confidence in his process-driven culture at City Mazda Stadium, where the Bloods will start the season with three of their first four home games under lights.
Recruiting has also been extremely positive for the Bloods, with 2015 premiership pair Chris Schmidt and Will Snelling making a return while ex-Norwood backman Pat Levicki shores up the defence in the absence of Chris Burgess and Jake Wilson.
Former Hawthorn utility Dallas Willsmore and Werribee tall Jade Cleeland add height and flexibility to the list in the wake of premiership bigman Daniel Webb announcing his retirement.
Colville also nominates Isaac Johnson and Patrick Fairlie as his two young guns to watch make their mark at League level this year.
