In National Volunteers Week, SANFL CEO Darren Chandler expresses his gratitude to every football volunteer in SA.
To all Football Volunteers in SA.
Thank you!
On behalf of the SA Football Commission and SANFL, I would like to thank you for your ongoing dedication and support to run our great game in SA. Over 54,000 male and female players of all ages across the State enjoy the opportunity to play Australian Football, but without the wonderful support of dedicated volunteers this would not be possible.
In this National Volunteers Week, we take the opportunity to stop and reflect on the amount of time and effort that volunteers both on and off the field contribute to our game.
SANFL will soon be seeking nominations for the Hostplus Volunteer of the Year, which once again recognises the overall support of all volunteers while highlighting individuals who have gone over and above to help their club, league or local community.
Whether you’re a coach, team manager, trainer/first aider, junior coordinator, interchange steward, president, secretary, treasurer, ground marshall, umpire, statistician, historian, property steward, bbq cook, canteen helper or any other role – YOU are a vital part of our game and I genuinely thank you for your tremendous contribution.
I wish you all the best for the remainder of the 2022 football season and hope you can continue to gain great satisfaction from being such an important part of our great game – Australian Football.
