What a Schiller! Jarrod set to join SANFL 200 Club

Central District’s Jarrod Schiller may be set to join SANFL’s 200 club but he’s just as driven as he was when he made his debut in 2010.

As he prepares for his 200th Statewide Super League game against the Eagles on Saturday, the Bulldogs’ co-captain said coming within a whisker of earning a premiership medal in 2011 was a still motivating factor late in his career.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 29-year-old is encouraged by what lies ahead under first-year coach, and former teammate, Paul Thomas, spurring him to ensure he shares in the spoils of the next success.

And the midfield veteran’s body is showing no signs of slowing after missing just one game this year, causing the eldest Schiller sibling to declare he will definitely play on in 2022.

Recruited from Nuriootpa in the Bulldogs’ regional zone, the Bulldogs’ No.38 indicated he would like to return to play his first senior game with the Tigers in the Barossa Light and Gawler Football League once his career finishes.

But before then, the physiotherapist is on a mission to restore respect and success to Elizabeth, starting with Central’s final minor round match of the season against Woodville-West Torrens at Woodville.
